***************

Louise Green, stepped off the plane at Heathrow International Airport. She sighed, well here she was...London, England. It was a new beginning for her and she was hoping that this new beginning would be a good one. Her life had recently been turned around, so, she'd scraped all of the money she could find together...and after obtaining a passport...had caught the first flight to London. Louise headed to find her luggage, and grabbed a luggage cart on the way. She had packed up all of her clothes and when she was settled into her new life, she'd be sending for everything else she owned. Which reminded her, she'd need to visit a bank and open up an account, so she'd have money for expenses.

When Louise had grabbed her four suitcases and stuck them on the cart, she made her way through the large mass of other travelers. Finally finding the exit, she hailed a taxi and asked to be driven to the Hyde Park Towers hotel. The cab driver nodded and the two of them chatted a little, while the cab drove through traffic on the way to the hotel. She took in the sights as they passed them and was pleasantly surprised to see the pretty scenery. As the cab pulled up to the hotel, Louise grabbed her purse and then waited while the doorman of the hotel came over. Joshua, the doorman for Hyde Park Towers, welcomed Louise with a broad smile and she smiled back. A bellhop had collected her luggage from the curb and was now wheeling it inside on a luggage cart.

The cab driver, Thomas, thanked Louise with a hearty handshake and grin, when she paid him. Louise laughed, then waved good-bye as Thomas got back in the cab and drove off. Joshua escorted Louise inside, then went back to his post at the door. Louise thanked him, then made her way over to the front desk to check in. The woman behind the desk, Charlotte, smiled at Louise.

"Hi, my name is Louise Green. I made reserved a room here, two weeks ago?"

"Hello, Miss Green, and yes, I believe I remember that reservation. One moment while I confirm it."

"Thank you," Louise replied, smiling.

In fifteen minutes, Louise was checked in and being shown to her third floor room.

***********

When Louise first saw the size of her room, she was pleasantly surprised. And after tipping the bellhop, she closed the door behind him. She wandered into the bathroom and squealed at the size of the tub. She'd never seen a bathtub that big. And there was a shower, as well. Back in the sitting area of the room, Louise grabbed her bags and lugged them into the bedroom & bathroom respectively. Then she went over to the sliding glass doors, and after opening them, stepped out onto the little balcony. What a glorious view, she thought. She relished the idea of starting her life anew. First and foremost, she'd need to make a list of things that needed to be taken care of.

Sitting down on the chaise lounge out on the balcony, Louise quickly began to make a list.

OPEN BANK ACCOUNT/TRANFER FUNDS OVERSEAS FROM USA
RENT A FLAT
FIND A JOB

There would be many other priorities she'd need to take care of eventually. But those three items, were the most important.

*****************

Around three weeks later, Louise had taken care of the first two. She'd opened a bank account and had transferred all of her funds to it, from her American bank account. Plus, she'd just recently found the perfect flat for her to rent. It was nearby to Hyde Park, which was a rather popular place for people to spend time at. Louise herself, was sitting on a bench, with an ice cream cone and day dreaming about her new flat. She could hardly wait to move in and begin decorating it. It was a very pretty spring day & the park was filled with families on picnics, teens and adults alike, on rollerblades. She smiled to herself and then leaned her head back on the bench, closed her eyes, and just enjoyed the warm sun on her face.

"Excuse me, Miss?" a cultured British voice asked.

Opening her eyes, she squinted a little, and then looked up at the man standing in front of her.

"Yes?" she replied.

"I was wondering if perhaps the seat next to you was already taken."

"Actually, it's not. Feel free to have it."

"Thank you, Miss...er..."

"Green. I'm Louise Green, hi!"

"Hello, Miss Green. I am pleased to make your acquaintance."

"Likewise Mister...uh..."

"Giles. My name is Rupert Giles."

"Hello, Mr. Giles."

THE END(For Now??)
